Completing the Certificate of Leadership Program at River City School of Leadership has given me a sincere hunger and thirst to not just read the Word of God but to understand the Word of God in its true context and meaning, allowing me to be able to pull Bible scripture, give context of the scripture, and speak amongst those of other beliefs/ faiths with not only confidence and understanding, but with a different level of compassion by standing on the unchanging Word of God.
As a leader in my professional life, I truly discovered my leadership style and how to tailor my leadership style to effectively develop, train, and empower my associates for greatness. I became very intentional about the time I chose to invest in building my associates’ skills to accomplish the tasks of their jobs successfully and meet their daily goals, with the focus of a servant’s heart. The leadership training helped to change my perspective from being of help just to get the job done, to choosing to willingly be of service for the benefit of others by honing in on my associates’ specific competencies and deficiencies and creating processes to get them to the level of competency needed to effectively do their job and excel in their positions, which then allowed the job to get done much quicker, more accurately, and with a true sense of ownership.
As a servant in the body of Christ, I have found sincere joy serving in my current position, since joining the team; however, to my surprise, my joy in serving has increased, since graduating from the Certificate of Leadership Program where I found a new level of camaraderie and connection with my teammates as we all diligently work together to accomplish our unified goal of service for the Kingdom of God.

They’re also incredibly helpful for me in ministry as well, knowing where in the Bible to point people when they need help has been invaluable.
